Board Member, Maria Rossoto
Hi, I’m Maria Rossoto, MPH, CHES (She/Her/Hers), one of the founders of the BPNA and acting President from 2016 to 2021. I bring a wealth of experience and expertise in nonprofit management, health education, and community engagement. I’m a recording artist and local jazz vocalist. My business Friends in the Garden is a blend of health education, music and art.
I’m focused on improving the aesthetics of our neighborhood and envision Belvedere Park as a beautiful, clean and walkable neighborhood. Improving the aesthetics of our environment ultimately improves our quality of life. Some of my favorite things about living in BP include the mid-century style, hilly streets, owls and lots of cool, friendly neighbors. My husband Fen and I moved to BP in 2007. We have three cats and a Yarden.
Board Member, Emily Cox
Emily (She/Her/Hers) has a passion for working with local communities to support and empower residents through beneficial neighborhood projects and inclusion initiatives. Additionally, she prioritizes sustainable beautification efforts, neighborhood walking paths, sensory-inclusive playground equipment, regenerative community gardens, TNR efforts, and providing accessible resources for all our neighbors (seniors, veterans, unhoused, etc.) Her absolute favorite aspect of BP, other than the location and diversity, is her amazing neighbors. Emily is incredibly inspired by the potential within BP and the BPNA.
